Generally, the amino group in the film with amino structure and amino silicone oil is easy to cause yellowing. Among the films, the cationic film is soft and feels good, and is easy to be adsorbed on the fabric, but it is easy to turn yellow and discolor, which affects the hydrophilicity. If the cationic film is converted into soft oil essence, its yellowing will be greatly reduced, and its hydrophilicity will also be improved. If the cationic film is compounded with hydrophilic silicone oil or hydrophilic finishing agent, its hydrophilicity will be improved.

Anionic film or non-ionic film is not easy to turn yellow; Some films do not turn yellow or affect hydrophilicity. Amino silicone oil is the most widely used silicone oil at present, but due to the fact that amino acid will cause discoloration and yellowing, the higher the ammonia value is, the greater the yellowing will be. The low yellowing amino silicone oil or polyether modified, epoxy modified and other non-yellowing silicone oil should be used.

In addition, cationic surfactants such as 1227, 1831 and 1631 are sometimes used as emulsifiers in lotion polymerization, which will also cause yellowing.
